JALPAAN

Nungambakkam outlet we tried the buffet...ambiance is ok type, seating is neither very close nor very spacious.just good enough.. nothing very fancy..but nice. Menu is quite good, with lots of variety.soups are very good, green pea and tomato both, infact the best. Then starters, some kalari potatoes, sesame kabab, pakoras and chilli paneer etc..chilli paneer he brought only when i saw it in menu and asked him...but anyway it wasnt good, pakora and sesame kabab were good but for second serving we waited, till we almost came to the end of our lunch. for papdi chaat, they were putting everything on sem( maida sticks fried)..a variation and a good one. In the main food they had sambhar rasam, paneer khurchan daal and one more vegetable.here I found it lacking not a singe preparation was good, daal was good but it had too much of salt., naan kulcha were well made. they had paani puri dahi vada, and variety of rice and salads etc.I like their way of serving dahi bhall.small small kat

CAFE G.HOLIDAY INN

We had sunday dinner there, as soon as you enter you like the ambiance of reception lobby quite opulent and nice,in restaurant also ambiance is good with spacious seating. Variety is enough in everything except moctail..there is no mocktail included in  buffet price..a big disappointment to me.. Salads have enough variety and on the live counter, there was pao bhaji, kathi roll and galouti kabab(non veg) and one veg,one non veg soup. in starters there was  paneer tikka and some mushroom preparation..Paneer was dry and hard, and i dont like mushrooms. In the main section, there was bhindi in curd, potao curry, dhaba daal and paneer curry..all with no flavour and salt..some baked item, pineapple fried rice..it was with chinese flavour, plain rice, plain yogurt, dahi bhalla and curd rice..here all three were good. Dessertshad lots of variety and many were good..I liked rajbhog, gulabjamun, malai ladoo and icecream. In nutshell, variety was there, but preparations were not good. We paid

SIGREE GLOBAL GRILL

We had lunch there today with lot of expectations. First thing is that building is under construction, so outside there is all concrete and they havent bothered with beautifying even entrance..so very basic view..inside seating is spcacious. Moctail and soup and then starters...grill on the table..there was pineapple chunks, paneer, potato and mushrooms, and  babycorn fried..all very mediocre. In the main course there was ma ki daal, tuar daal, kali mirrch paneer, aloo simla mirch, curd rice, biryani, steamed rice, rasam ,baked dish etc, ..not much good vriety and then Naan roti also then dont bring fresh, its kept on the table..Ma ki daal was good, rest just ok,. In desserts, there were no good indian dessert..there were maal pua and rice kheer and both not worth it and then there were many cakes and mousse and icecream, but icecream was totally melted. Its easy on the pocket..705/ per person, but I didnt find it worth it..In the same range, Barbeque nation is much better in food.

Annalakshmi

Finally we got a chance to try this restaurant on this Sunday.. As soon as we entered, we thought..wow what a place, ambiance is very good. Since we had booked the table in advance, we got the table immediately. and waited for food impatiently. The ambiance increased our expectation, but we were in for a big disappointment, mainly because we went for north Indian food, here its mainly south Indian cuisine with some north Indian dishes added, but that too not prepared in north indian way. Started with soup and it was good, but in starters there was only one item..daal vada.. and then thali came..with paneer, rajma, potato, beans and sweet raita, with naan and chapati. naan and chapati were ok but not a single curry was tasty. There was lot of variety in rice, but without good curry we didnt enjoy anything. and waiting in between dishes just spoils your mood and apetite both.In dessert it was sort of payasam but flowing type, and gulabjamun and icecream. last two were good but he never as
